World Humanitarian Day honours the heroes who self

World Humanitarian Day honours the heroes who selflessly prioritise the lives of others to deliver aid and relief in the most challenging situations - whether in the aftermath of natural disasters, or under the shadow of war. Here at NaariSamatā, we are also paying tribute to those who provide acts of kindness and support which may appear only small, but in fact help spread much-needed hope, care, and positivity among the most vulnerable communities.

In these rapidly changing and uncertain times, global humanitarian efforts remain vital. In 2024, nearly 300 million people around the world will need humanitarian assistance and protection due to conflicts, climate disasters, and other emergencies. Join us as we honour the bravery and commitment of those who step up to help, and remember the importance of solidarity in times of crisis.

The distortion of cancer data in India is alarming

The distortion of cancer data in India is alarming, particularly concerning breast cancer, a major issue for women. Raising awareness is essential.

Yesterday, sponsored by NaariSamata, Pratigya held an impactful breast cancer awareness session led by Dr. Kavita, a leading expert from the Canfem Organisation in Mumbai. The session empowered women from Ranchi's urban slums and Khunti's tribal villages with crucial knowledge about early detection, prevention, and self-examination.

The session concluded with a powerful oath: the women committed to dedicating one minute every month to perform breast self-examinations. The participants were engaged and asked insightful questions about breast cancer.
